Michael Trizano and Lucas Almeida put on a clinic at UFC Vegas 56, with the debuting Almeida coming out on top
In a card filled with finishes, Lucas Almeida scored a noteworthy one at UFC Vegas 56, which marked his UFC debut. And that’s after he and Michael Trizano put on an entertaining affair inside the Octagon.
Almeida and Trizano did plenty of trading in the opening frame. Almeida, the Dana White Contender Series alum, seemed to be on his way to winning the round until Trizano dropped Almeida with a hard right hook in the final 10 seconds.

Almeida re-took control in the second round when he landed a left hook that dropped Trizano. Trizano recovered but remained on the ground. Trizano got some offense in from bottom but couldn’t shake off Almeida, who accidentally headbutted Trizano to bust him open.
The two men traded from the second the third round started. It only lasted 55 seconds before Almeida dropped Trizano again and finished him on the ground.
This was Trizano’s first loss by KO/TKO.
