Mike Perry survives knockdown to defeat Michael Seals in Triad Combat (Video)

MMA veteran Mike Perry was in danger against boxer Michael Seals in Triller’s first Triad Combat event, but he came away with the win.

Troubled MMA fighter Mike Perry won his first Triller Triad Combat event, but it nearly ended in disaster for Perry.

Perry (14-8) is usually in the news for all the wrong reasons. He has made hateful comments, been accused of domestic abuse, and been involved in several volatile fights in public. His UFC career came to an end in 2021 after his contract wasn’t renewed. Perry lost his last two fights in the UFC.

Perry inked a deal with BKFC but made his first post-UFC combat sports debut inside of a triangle on Saturday, Nov. 27, as part of Triller’s new Triad Combat promotion. Triad Combat is a fusion between MMA and boxing.

Controversial MMA fighter Mike Perry got dropped by Michael Seals in round 4 but won by split-decision

Perry’s opponent was 39-year-old light heavyweight boxer Michael Seals. Seals (25-3, 19 KOs) has a solid record but has lost to talented boxers like Eleider Alvarez and Edwin Rodriguez via KO.

Perry acquitted himself well in Triad Combat, but his night nearly ended early in round 4. Seals caught Perry with a left hook that turned Perry’s legs to rubber. He got up but was in serious trouble.

Seals failed to hurt Perry again in the round and let him off the hook. Perry was able to close the distance and stifle Seals’ attack.

The fight went the full seven rounds, and Perry won via split decision. His UFC career is over, but his run in Triad Combat may be just beginning. We’ll see if he makes a debut in BKFC as well.
