UFC Vegas 37: Ion Cutelaba defeated Devin Clark.
Ion Cutelaba defeated Devin Clark via unanimous decision (30–26, 29–26, 29–27), at UFC Vegas 37 on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, live from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, NV.
In the co-main event of UFC Vegas 37, Cutelaba easily won a one-sided decision against Clark. However, the biggest talking point coming out of the fight was the state of Clark’s teeth.
Between the second and third rounds, Clark’s corner contemplated stopping the fight. The doctor looked at Clark but determined that he could continue despite having his teeth punched in.
Devin Clark is going to need to see a dentist after this
Following the fight, fans saw how bad Clark’s looked. The front three teeth on the bottom of Clark’s mouth were just barely hanging on. The teeth had been punched in so many times, they stood at a 45-degree angle and were significantly further back in Clark’s mouth than the rest of his teeth.
Hopefully, Clark has a good dentist available to him because he will need to get some work done immediately. The loss dropped Clark’s career record to 12-6.
Cutelaba arrived in Las Vegas in need of a victory. The Moldovian fighter entered Saturday on a three-fight winless streak. Cutelaba’s last win was nearly two years ago when he knocked out Khalil Rountree Jr. In his last fight, Cutelaba fought Dustin Jacoby to a split draw. With the victory, Cutelaba improved to 16-6.
