PrizePicks: Early NBA Player Picks – Fantasy Basketball https://www.basketballinsiders.com/news/prizepicks-early-nba-player-picks-fantasy-basketball/
https://www.basketballinsiders.com/?p=71585

The 2021-22 NBA season begins on Oct. 19, 2021, so it’s now time for NBA PrizePicks. Leading into the next basketball season, all eyes are on Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić, who was last season’s MVP winner. With PrizePicks, there are two different games available. Fantasy Score is for betting on whether or not a specific player will go over or under their projected fantasy points.

Single Stat is the other game. This contest is for guessing the points, assists, rebounds or made threes for the best players. Now, which players are the best picks for the upcoming season? Are there any All-Star performers from last season that might take a step back in 2022? These questions will be answered in this article.
<div id=”attachment_71588″ class=”wp-caption alignnone”><img aria-describedby=”caption-attachment-71588″ class=”wp-image-71588 size-full” src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/PrizePicks-Example.jpg” alt width=”652″ height=”548″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 652px) 100vw, 652px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/PrizePicks-Example.jpg 652w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/PrizePicks-Example-300×252.jpg 300w”>
DFS Karma

Nikola Jokić

Center Nikola Jokić had outstanding performances throughout the 2020-21 season on the Nuggets. Last season, the three-time All-Star averaged 26.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 72 games played. He also shot 56.6% from the field and 38.8% from three-point range. His career-high 26.4 points-per-game average last season helped lift him above all other centers in the league.

Jokić ranked fifth in total rebounds (780), third in points (1,898) and third in assists (599). Furthermore, Jamal Murray’s absence to start the season is another contributing factor to think about. Statistically, the 26-year-old has so much to offer bettors. Needless to say, the Joker is worth the risk.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks has to be on anyone’s list. In 61 games played last season, the Greek Freak averaged 28.1 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.9 assists. Not to mention, he shot 56.9% from the floor and 30.3% from beyond the arc. The eight-year veteran accumulated 1,717 points, ranking sixth overall in the NBA.

Antetokounmpo also finished his season with 671 total rebounds, ranking 11th in this metric. He ranked third in the league for player efficiency rating (29.2). According to Basketball-Reference, the five-time All-Star has a 67.9% chance of making the hall of fame.

Stephen Curry

Point guard Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors is another solid choice. He is the projected favorite to lead the league in three-pointers in 2022. Betting the over for his points projection makes sense. In the 2020-21 season, the seven-time All-Star averaged 32 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 63 games played. Shooting-wise, the Ohio native shot 48.2% from the field and 42.1% from three-point range.

Considering Klay Thompson is not expected to play his first game of the season until Christmas, the 12-year veteran will have more opportunities to score points and dominate the stat sheet. His 32 points per game average was a career-high last season as well. With 337 made threes last season, he also led the NBA in this metric — explaining why he is usually the favorite for successful three-point shots.

Luka Doncic

Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic is the favorite to win MVP in 2022, according to various sportsbooks. It would be wise for any gambler to include the two-time All-Star on his or her list. Last season, the 22-year-old averaged 27.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 8.6 assists in 66 games. He also had a field goal percentage of 47.9% and a three-point percentage of 35%.

Doncic ranked fifth overall in total points scored (1,830) and fifth in total assists (567). It makes sense why the third-year player is the frontrunner for multiple awards and All-League selections next season. To add to this aforementioned data, he will now play ball under new Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd. What’s not to like? He could very well win the MVP next season if he can avoid sustaining a major injury, knock on wood.

Karl-Anthony Towns

Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns is one of those players who may fly under the radar next season. More of the focus will be on Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook or Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard.

In the 2020-21 season, Towns averaged 24.8 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in 50 games played. He averaged 48.6% shooting from the field and 38.7% from behind the arc. The 25-year-old ranked 18th in total rebounds last season (529).

Players to avoid

Make no mistake, Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook are both serviceable guards for fantasy basketball. That is a huge understatement. They are viable options. However, questions remain for Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard. Davis suffered a groin injury in Game 4 of the first-round playoff series against the Phoenix Suns. Davis also tweaked his ankle back in May.

The 28-year-old can still play at a high level, but he is now more susceptible to missing games due to injuries. The eight-time All-Star is not in decline per se — he will have help from Westbrook and LeBron James. Nevertheless, some bettors might not be willing to take a risk. For Davis, gamblers should bet the under.

Then, there’s Kawhi Leonard from the Los Angeles Clippers to think about. He suffered a right partially torn ACL during the playoffs and had to miss out on playing in the Clippers’ first Western Conference Finals appearance. The power forward is expected to miss a huge portion of next season. On Aug. 12, the Clippers re-signed Leonard to a four-year, $176.3 million contract. So, unless betting the under in the 2021-22 season, it may be more suitable for bettors to pick the California native next year instead.

PrizePicks rules and free bonus

Unfortunately, PrizePicks is not available to bettors in AZ, CO, CT, DE, HI, ID, IN, IA, LA, MD, ME, MS, MD, MT, NV, NH, NJ, OH, PA, TN, VA and WA. Most PrizePicks bettors reside in California, Texas or Florida. In general, players must be at least 18-years-old. However, some states may require gamblers to be at least 21-years-old. The Basketball Insiders PrizePicks bonus provides a 100% deposit bonus up to $100.

To claim a promo code, bettors must first go to the home page. It can be accessed from this link. Then, the bettor should click on “start playing now” at the top right-hand corner. Next, the gambler must enter his or her name, address, email address and password. After that, enter the code SAFE at the bottom of the page in the promo box. Lastly, make your first deposit to claim in upwards of $100.
Fri, 17 Sep 2021 18:56:05 +0000 James Foglio

Veterans Key To Cleveland’s Future https://www.basketballinsiders.com/news/veterans-key-to-clevelands-future/
https://www.basketballinsiders.com/?p=71586

A new era has begun in Cleveland, and it is taking shape quickly. With LeBron James and Kyrie Irving as distant memories, the Cavaliers have a new core that is oozing with talent and youth. It appears that Cleveland has their backcourt and their frontcourt set for the future, but there will be a steep learning curve that will require time and patience in order to achieve success.

The Eastern Conference is stacked this season, and the Cavs are far from being a solid playoff team. While a possible birth in the play-in tournament could be an option, the bar of expectations is set fairly low for the organization this year. The 2021-22 campaign will be mostly about developing the young players, establishing good chemistry and work ethic under head coach JB Bickerstaff.

While the coaching staff will be responsible for the growth and long-term future of these players, there are a couple of veterans on the roster that will be crucial to that plan. Despite reports this summer that Kevin Love is on his way out of Cleveland, the forward enters his eighth season with the franchise, which is two years longer than his stint with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Love may not be the player he once was, which was evident by his tenure with Team USA in the Tokyo Olympics, but he is still a valuable commodity for this franchise. If he is willing to take on more of a mentor-type role this season, it could pay large dividends for the future of this team. Playing time will be tough to find this season, with Cleveland’s loaded frontcourt.

It all starts with rookie big man Evan Mobley, whom the Cavs drafted with the third-overall pick in the draft. The seven-footer provides tremendous athleticism and mobility at the position. His length on defense and firepower on offense will give opposing teams fits on a nightly basis. He has a lot to learn at this level, where he will be guarding guys that are stronger than him and have elite post skills.

Another seven-footer on the roster is Lauri Markkanen, whom Cleveland recently acquired in a trade with the division-rival Chicago Bulls. After injuries and playing time appeared to stunt his growth and confidence, Markkanen is focused on getting his career back on track. If he can provide the Cavs with the outside shooting that they so desperately need, he could up his own value at the same time.

Coming this fall…@MarkkanenLauri x @evanmobley x @_bigjayy_ pic.twitter.com/LSaOClb12m

— Bally Sports Cleveland (@BallySportsCLE) September 16, 2021

If those two weren’t enough, remember that Jarrett Allen signed a $100 million contract with Cleveland this summer. The big man out of Texas is an elite rim protector and has incredible potential. In addition to these three guys, the Cavs also signed two more seven-footers in Isaiah Hartenstein and Tacko Fall. While it will be difficult to find minutes for them, they have the opportunity to battle and learn from their talented teammates.

Love is coming off a season in which he appeared in just 25 games and averaged career-lows of 12.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists. The 33-year old is owed $60 million over the next two seasons, but there is no trade market and the two sides have reportedly not discussed a buyout. Known as one of the more cerebral players in the league, Love has a lot to offer these young frontcourt players that don’t have much experience.

Though he doesn’t have the size that the younger guys have, he has always been an exceptional rebounder. He led the league in rebounding during the 2010-11 season and is a two-time All-NBA selection and five-time All-Star. His championship experience is one thing, but he also knows the pressure that comes with being a top-five selection in the draft. That is something that the young players can learn from right now.

Turning the attention towards the backcourt, a similar story can be found. Their future at the guard positions lies with Collin Sexton and Darius Garland. This dynamic duo has shown flashes of what they could become, with the right development. With both players listed at 6’1″ it has enticed Cleveland to play Isaac Okoro and Cedi Osman at one of the guard positions at times. All of them can benefit from playing alongside Ricky Rubio.

5v5 and it feels so good 😍 pic.twitter.com/NLxnzjH6K4

— Cleveland Cavaliers (@cavs) September 16, 2021

Cleveland made the trade to bring in Rubio, which turned some heads around the league. The fit didn’t seem to make sense but there have been a lot of moves like that in recent years with this organization. Like Love, Rubio’s career began in Minnesota after being taken fifth overall in the draft. He too certainly knows about playing with pressure and expectations on his shoulders.

Sexton has more than 200 games under his belt and Garland has played more than 50 games in each of his first two seasons. They are still getting a feel for the game but they can learn a lot from Rubio. Entering his 11th year in the league, the Spanish guard will look to lead by example, while reuniting with his former teammate in Minnesota.

Ricky Rubio said he has a great relationship with Kevin Love and the two have spoken a few times already after he was traded to Cleveland.

”I can’t wait to pick up the relationship again.”

The bromance is real.

— Evan Dammarell (@AmNotEvan) September 9, 2021

After a stellar performance in Tokyo, Rubio has made it clear that he has plenty left in the tank. The floor general should greatly help Cleveland’s pick-and-roll game, especially working alongside Markkanen and Mobley. One area that the veteran could really help Sexton with is making his teammates better. He can obviously score at a high rate but that hasn’t translated to winning basketball.

The transition game is an area where younger, athletic teams tend to excel. With so many fresh legs and their combination of length and athleticism, the Cavs should flourish in that aspect of the game. Where they tend to struggle is in the half-court offense, an area where Rubio can be a tremendous help. He has always been a great off-the-ball cutter and excellent as a rotator, getting the ball where it needs to go before the defense can recover.

Cleveland may not be a contender in the mighty East but they are building something special. Their championship teams were built on the shoulders of their hometown hero and role players, but this group is deeper and has the potential to reach the same destination down the road. The leadership of Love and Rubio could help mold that into reality.
Fri, 17 Sep 2021 20:00:47 +0000 Chad Smith

At the same time, the Minnesota Lynx are facing the Indiana Fever. Minnesota-Indiana airs on CBSSN. Washington-New York will air live on Twitter.

Then, at 8 p.m. ET, the Las Vegas Aces are competing against the Chicago Sky. The late night matchup is the Phoenix Mercury-Seattle Storm game. This game begins at 10 p.m. ET. Las Vegas-Chicago and Phoenix-Seattle will air on NBATV. The odds below were retrieved from Bovada.

Mystics vs. Liberty: odds, predictions and free WNBA picks

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71577″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-1.png” alt width=”897″ height=”80″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 897px) 100vw, 897px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-1.png 897w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-1-300×27.png 300w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-1-768×68.png 768w”>

Washington is 8-2 in the past 10 games played against New York. Furthermore, the Mystics are 6-9 against the spread on the road and 4-11 away this season. They are also 5-12 straight up in their past 17 games played, 1-5 in their last six road games and the total has gone under in seven of the team’s previous 10 games. On the flip side, New York is 6-9 ATS at home and 6-9 overall in home games.

Injuries:

Mystics: Elena Delle Donne is out indefinitely due to a back injury. Myisha Hines-Allen is listed as questionable Friday because of an illness.

Liberty: Reshanda Gray is listed as questionable versus the Mystics because of an illness. Jocelyn Willoughby is out for the season due to an Achilles injury.

The Liberty are 0-5 in their last five games, 1-5 in their past six home games and the total has gone under in four of New York’s previous five games. Record-wise, the Mystics and Liberty are in a similar boat. Though, the Liberty did win the previous matchup 82-79 on July 3, 2021. All things considered, stick with the Mystics. Washington should win and the total will go under 163.

Lynx vs. Fever: odds, predictions and free WNBA picks

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71578″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-2.png” alt width=”900″ height=”103″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-2.png 900w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-2-300×34.png 300w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-2-768×88.png 768w”>

The Lynx are 8-2 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings versus the Fever. Minnesota won the previous matchup 90-80 on Sept. 12, 2021. Plus, Minnesota is 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games played. They are also 7-1 SU in their past eight games, 6-3 in their previous nine road games and the total has gone over in 18 of the team’s previous 25 away games.

Injuries:

Lynx: Layshia Clarendon is listed as questionable due to her fibula injury, and both Damiris Dantas and Rennia Davis are out for the season. The center and guard are recovering from foot injuries.

Fever: Chelsey Perry and Jessica Breland are out for the season. To add to the list, Danielle Robinson and Tiffany Mitchell are listed as questionable to play against the Lynx. Kysre Gondrezick is out indefinitely as well.

As for the Fever, they are 0-5 in their past five games played. The total has also gone over in four of the team’s last five games. Not to mention, Indiana is 3-9 SU in their previous 12 home games. In other words, this game is a clear mismatch. Pick the Lynx to win and the total will go over.

Aces vs. Sky: odds, predictions and free picks

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71579″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-3.png” alt width=”899″ height=”84″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 899px) 100vw, 899px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-3.png 899w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-3-300×28.png 300w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-3-768×72.png 768w”>

Moreover, the Aces are 6-4 in their last 10 head-to-head contests versus the Sky. Unlike the other WNBA games today, this one is more of a tossup. If the Sky manage to pull off an upset, that outcome would not be the biggest shocker. After all, Chicago won the previous meeting 92-84 on Sept. 5, 2021. However, Las Vegas is 5-1 in their past six games played. They are also 2-4 ATS in their last six games, 5-2 SU in their previous seven road games and the total has gone under in four of the team’s past six away games.

Injuries:

Aces: Angel McCoughtry is listed as questionable due to a knee injury. Liz Cambage was downgraded to out because she is still recovering from COVID-19.

Sky: Stefanie Dolson is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game due to a knee injury.

For the Sky, they are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games, 5-14 in their past 19 home games and the total has gone over in eight of Chicago’s previous 10 home games. For other notable betting trends, the Aces are 4-8 ATS in their past 12 games versus the Sky when playing at the Wintrust Arena. Go with your gut instincts on this one. Pick the Aces to squeak by and the total will go under 169.5.

Mercury vs. Storm: odds, predictions and free picks

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71582″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-4.png” alt width=”897″ height=”80″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 897px) 100vw, 897px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-4.png 897w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-4-300×27.png 300w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/WNBA-Odds-4-768×68.png 768w”>

Seattle is 6-4 in their last 10 games played against Phoenix and 6-4 ATS in these games. The Mercury are 11-4 ATS away and 12-3 in road games this season. That is a fantastic road record. This is exactly why some bettors are hesitant to pick Seattle to win tonight. Plus, the Mercury are 10-1 in their past 11 games and the total has gone under in four of their previous six games. A fair argument can be made for either one.

Injuries:

Mercury: Diana Taurasi is out Friday due to an ankle injury. Forward Alanna Smith is in quarantine, so she is listed as questionable to play as well.

Storm: Breanna Stewart is out indefinitely because of a foot injury. Jordin Canada is listed as questionable due to her knee injury.

The Storm are 4-12 ATS at home and 11-5 overall in home games. They are also 19-6 in their last 25 games played at home. Additionally, the total has gone under in five of Seattle’s past seven games. Oddsmakers have the Mercury as 1.5-point favorites.

Nevertheless, readers can get annoyed seeing these picks coming from chalk bettors. What’s the point? The Storm can beat the Mercury. They defeated Phoenix 82-75 in the previous meeting on Jul. 11, 2021. Seattle will upset Phoenix in their own stadium tonight; the total will go under. Other free WNBA picks are accessible here.
Fri, 17 Sep 2021 16:18:48 +0000 James Foglio

Philadelphia 76ers make shock Ben Simmons trade U-turn: https://www.basketballinsiders.com/news/betonline-puts-the-freeze-on-bets-as-philadelphia-76ers-make-shock-ben-simmons-trade-u-turn/
https://www.basketballinsiders.com/?p=71536

Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly decided to stick with wantaway point guard Ben Simmons and now expect him to play ball in Philly for the 2021/22 season.

According to reports, the Sixers haven’t received a good enough trade offer to tempt them into parting with their star Australian point guard and, with the upcoming NBA season now just a month away, are no longer willing to do business.

Simmons, a former No.1 overall pick at the 2016 NBA Draft, is thought to have told the Sixers he no longer wanted to wear the shirt earlier during the offseason. The Aussie was rumored to prefer the west coast sunshine of California to the East coast chill of Philadelphia, with the one of the L.A. Lakers, L.A. Clippers, or Golden State Warriors his preferred trade destination.

But the Sixers do not wish to accept a deal involving future draft picks. Head coach Doc Rivers and majority owner Michael Rubio and co. clearly feel that trading Simmons out for rookie potential could lead to a halt in team development and an immediate drop-off in performance.

Sixers couldn’t find a replacement for Ben Simmons

The reports are that 76ers have tried to do business on this deal and that there was a list of 5-10 adequate, top-tier replacements that the organization would have been willing to discuss as part of a trade. But nothing came of those names, and the Sixers aren’t willing to budge. Without a viable All-Star coming to Philadelphia to replace Simmons, it looks like the Aussie is set for another winter of gloves and scarves.

Perhaps the story doesn’t end there though: rumor has it that Simmons is willing to force through a move by sitting out on the 76ers’ preseason training camp. Such a move would be contested fiercely by the Sixers organization, however, with reports indicating that was the Australian to skip out on either his pre- or regular-season duties, a fine of approx $308k per day could be heading his way.

An NBA source has commented on the stand-off, stating:

‘Eventually he’s going to show up. Sixers will go from there’. They apparently plan to fine Simmons if he doesn’t attend 2021-22 camp, preseason and so on. Don’t want to trade for draft picks and try to convert to players. Can’t get any of 5-10 NBA guys they like.”

BetOnline’s Ben Simmons trade betting line vanishes

Sportsbook BetOnline had previously been taking bets on Simmons’ next destination. But, after checking today, our betting experts report that the game line is down.

The previous odds had been as stated in the below tweet from BetOnline.ag:

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71540″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screenshot-2021-09-17-at-10.29.05.jpg” alt width=”820″ height=”548″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 820px) 100vw, 820px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screenshot-2021-09-17-at-10.29.05.jpg 820w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screenshot-2021-09-17-at-10.29.05-300×200.jpg 300w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Screenshot-2021-09-17-at-10.29.05-768×513.jpg 768w”>

BetOnline had previously trolled Simmons by adding Chinese franchise Shanghai Sharks to the list.

It’s unclear as to when or whether or not this betting line will reappear. But, as always, Basketball Insiders will be sure to keep you updated with all the latest NBA betting news.

In the meantime, it’s still possible to sign up using this BetOnline promo code to get up to a $1,000 deposit match. The sportsbook features deep NBA betting markets and updates daily, so we may not have seen the last of the Simmons trade lines just yet!
Fri, 17 Sep 2021 09:59:25 +0000 Ross Bennellick

The Lakers rank second overall, with odds showing +325. However, the Nets and Lakers have been discussed enough in title-odd conversations for the 2021-22 NBA season. The Milwaukee Bucks — the reigning champions — have the third-best odds (+900) of winning their third title in franchise history next season. In the Bucks’ offseason, they re-signed Bobby Portis.

One notable signing is Grayson Allen from the Memphis Grizzlies. In 50 games played last season, Allen averaged 10.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. For a team like the Bucks, they need a strong bench if they want to continue to win playoff games. Furthermore, Milwaukee also signed George Hill, Rodney Hood and Semi Ojeleye. Both Justin Robinson and Sandro Mamukelashvili were signed to two-way contracts.

No matter how many games the Utah Jazz win, they always seem to get grouped in with the middle-of-the-pack teams. Their title odds are +1600. In their offseason, they re-signed Mike Conley, Jarrell Brantley, Hassan Whiteside and Rudy Gay. To add to this list, they signed Jared Butler and acquired Eric Paschall from the Warriors. If the Jazz want more respect, they have to prove to everyone that they can take things to the next level in the postseason. Just look at the Bucks.

BetOnline MVP betting odds

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71497″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds.png” alt width=”578″ height=”487″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds.png 578w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-300×253.png 300w”>

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71498″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-2.png” alt width=”580″ height=”494″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-2.png 580w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-2-300×256.png 300w”>

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71500″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-3.png” alt width=”577″ height=”489″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 577px) 100vw, 577px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-3.png 577w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-3-300×254.png 300w”>

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71501″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-4.png” alt width=”580″ height=”484″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-4.png 580w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-4-300×250.png 300w”>

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71502″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-5.png” alt width=”579″ height=”491″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 579px) 100vw, 579px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-5.png 579w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-5-300×254.png 300w”>

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71503″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-6.png” alt width=”578″ height=”314″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-6.png 578w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-6-300×163.png 300w”>

<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-71504″ src=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-7.png” alt width=”578″ height=”249″ data-sizes=”(max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px” data-swift-image-lazyload=”true” data-style data-l srcset=”https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-7.png 578w, https://www.basketballinsiders.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/BetOnline-MVP-Odds-7-300×129.png 300w”>

According to oddsmakers at BetOnline, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic is the favorite to win MVP in the upcoming 2021-22 NBA season. The 22-year-old Slovenian possesses +450 odds of winning the award. Last season, he averaged 27.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 8.6 assists per game in 66 games played. In 199 games played in his professional career, he has averaged 25.7 points per game. Of course, Nikola Jokić won the previous award in June.

Additionally, Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has the second-best odds (+700) of winning the award. In 63 games played last season, the seven-time All-Star averaged 32 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game. Curry led the league in scoring last season as well. Based on MVP voting, he received 45.3% of the MVP award shares in the voting.

BetOnline win totals betting

<a the highest win total projections. Brooklyn’s Over/Under is set at 55.5 wins. The Bucks’s Over/Under is set at 54.5 wins. Then, the Lakers’ Over/Under is 52.5 wins. Having said all of this, the more interesting win totals this season are for the Phoenix Suns (51.5 wins) and Chicago Bulls (42.5 wins). This is an opinion, though.

In the 2021-22 NBA season, the Suns lost in six games versus the Bucks in the 2021 NBA Finals. They had a two-game lead over the No. 3-seeded Bucks in the series, but they slacked off when push came to shove. Devin Booker and Chris Paul were too inconsistent. The Suns concluded their regular season with a record of 51-21 (.708).

Nonetheless, the Suns front office has to look forward to the future. In the offseason, they re-signed Cameron Payne, Frank Kaminsky, Abdel Nader and Chris Paul. They also signed Elfrid Payton and Chandler Hutchinson.
