CFFC 99: MMA fight was stopped because a giant moth invaded the cage (Video)
Jordan Love’s Packers debut was even better than we could have imagined
A fight was paused at CFFC 99 because of a giant moth
A Cage Fury Fighting Championship bout between Nah-Shon Burrell and Khetag Pliev was stopped early in the first round due to a giant moth flapping in the cage around both competitor’s faces.
This is the second Pliev bout that was paused in the first round with CFFC but to his and his corners relief this wasn’t due to him losing a digit.
Although an impressive victory and equally impressive return to the sport of MMA on behalf of Pliev fans were understandably more interested in talking about the moth of it all.
This includes former CFFC athlete and current UFC competitor Chris Daukaus chiming in on just how strange a stoppage it truly is.
The bout which was part of Cage Fury Fighting Championships 99th card and aired live on UFC Fight Pass would end in the third round when Burrell landed a knockout punch for the victory.
