I was planning to fight standing up but once he started wrestling with me, I had to change my tactics and I also wrestled. I hope that many people were watching this fight and I’m hoping that they were watching because I was fighting No. 8 in my division and now I’m ready for my next opponent and I’m hoping that UFC would consider to give me a main event, five round fight because I want to see if I can go the distance, if I can go the entire five rounds, just to test myself before the title fights.

Twitter reacts to Pedro Munhoz defeating Jimmie Rivera in wild rematch

Jimmie and I became good friends after the first fight we did a few years ago. He’s a great guy, a tough, tough, tough fighter. For me it was a honor to bring that fight back from the first time and now we are able to display again such a great fight. First one was a great fight, now this one definitely deserves Fight of the Night.

Alex Caceres vs. Kevin Croom

OFFICIAL RESULTS:  Alex Caceres def. Kevin Croom via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27)

Felt great about it, I felt quick on the feet. I felt very relaxed, like I could all the punches coming, all his strikes coming. So I knew that once I started feeling really great on the feet, I knew he was going to notice for that and go for takedowns all day, and we were ready for that. We’ve been practicing, me and my coach and teammates, we’ve been working on just trying to grind me into the cage, grind me into the floor. I know my wrestling and my Jiu-Jitsu got a lot better, so I know he was going to struggle trying to do that to me. This guy, Andy, is like 200 pounds and he can’t even take me down with ease. My coach, Coco, he’s driving me against the wall, he’s 180 on a good day. So I just knew this 145 guy, you know it’s going to be very difficult for anyone else to take me down.

Alexander Hernandez vs. Thiago Moises

OFFICIAL RESULTS: Thiago Moises def. Alexander Hernandez via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

One of my strengths is my fight IQ, I’m very well rounded fighter, so I can fight everywhere and I can adjust and that’s what I did in the fight. Three wins in a row, three big names, now everyone can see that I’m a threat and I’m one of the best fighters in the world and I’m going to prove that fight after fight.

Alexis Davis vs. Sabina Mazo

OFFICIAL RESULTS: Alexis Davis def. Sabina Mazo via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

I’m always really critical of myself, win or lose, a lot of things I feel like I could do better, but I’m happy, I felt really good, it was just trying to work on stay calm, relax, get my flow. I’m like ok, we’re on the ground, I’m good, I’m happy now, this is where I wanted to be. I felt really comfortable.

Vince Cachero vs. Ronnie Lawrence

OFFICIAL RESULTS: Ronnie Lawrence defeated Vince Cachero via TKO, Round 3, 2:37

When we got on the ground, in certain positions, I could tell I had better Jiu-Jitsu, better pressure. Sometimes you forget you’re a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu and he just didn’t feel like a brown belt. Or whatever you want to call it, belts are…it’s just an example. When I got on top, hit some shoulder pressure, I was grabbing my under hook, he was actually good about replacing his under hook, but when he didn’t have an under hook, he was gone. I guess I just felt it, it’s time to go.

Maxim Grishin vs. Dustin Jacoby

OFFICIAL RESULTS: Dustin Jacoby def. Maxim Grishin via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

I was just picking it up a little bit more each round, it was hard. Max, again, a very good veteran, a very good athlete. Did a great job of avoiding that kick early on and I felt like I started getting my jab going a little bit more. I was a little hesitant to overcommit. Max is a big guy and missed weight coming in, so I thought that he would have quite a bit more weight on me and he was gonna try to get me against the cage, get me down, so I was a little hesitant pulling the trigger, but again I thought I did enough.
