Angela Lee reveals family-owned gym was vandalized on New Years.

Angela Lee took to Instagram to let her gym members know her family’s gym, United MMA in Hawaii was vandalized on New Years. The ONE Championship champion trains alongside her brother Christian, also a ONE Championship titleholder, in the gym which is owned and operated by their parents.

“Unfortunately, we did not have the best start to the new year, as we just found out someone had vandalized and smashed the exterior of the gym (windows and door),” she wrote on Instagram. “We have already met with the police and filed a report. We are shocked and disgusted by this act but we are incredibly grateful that no one was hurt. Sadly, we will not be able to open today, as we had hoped. We plan to use this weekend to clean and hopefully resume classes on Monday 1/4. We are so sorry to inform you at such a late notice. We just found out about this incident and are trying our best to sort this all out.”

Angela Lee is pregnant with her first child

Lee is taking a break from competition as she’s expecting her first child with her husband, and fellow MMA fighter, Bruno Pucci.

This vandalism was caught on surveillance and was reported to the police. It comes at a time when gyms are struggling due to COVID-19 restrictions.
