‘Tis the season, and it’s that time of the year where the better cooks and more creative-minded of us show off gingerbread house creations. Would you ever imagine seeing one of the more infamous UFC and Conor McGregor moments made with gingerbread? Turns out, Angela Hill did just that.

Hill posted her creation on social media, showing off some pretty fantastic gingerbread art that resembles the notorious bus incident at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY, in the days leading up to UFC 223 in April 2018.

The gingerbread set features McGregor holding a dolly and his rival, Khabib Nurmagomedov, in a bus. Shards of glass are represented beneath them and onlooking are McGregor’s friend and teammate, Artem Lobov, and UFC President Dana White.

For those who somehow don’t know or don’t remember the story, McGregor indeed used a hand dolly to smash a window of a bus carrying Nurmagomedov and other UFC 223 fighters inside the Barclays Center. McGregor’s actions were apparently a revenge attack after Nurmagomedov and Lobov had a confrontation that saw the now-retired Nurmagomedov slap Lobov.

The incident resulted in Michael Chiesa vs. Anthony Pettis and Ray Borg vs. Brandon Moreno both scrapped from the card after Chiesa and Borg suffered injuries from the broken glass, and Lobov vs. Alex Caceres was called off, as Lobov was removed from the event due to his involvement with the situation.

McGregor ended up turning himself into police custody and was charged with assault and criminal mischief. The charges were later dropped.

At the time, White called the incident one of the most despicable things he had ever seen in his time as UFC president, but that didn’t stop the UFC from using the incident in the pre-fight hype for the Nurmagomedov-McGregor showdown at UFC 229.

Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor at the October 2018 event before the post-fight melee that resulted in both men being suspended.
