Josh Jacobs took to social media to give fantasy owners some bad news about his status for Sunday.
Fantasy football owners have been keeping a close eye on Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs all week. He has been dealing with an ankle injury, but the team has in fact made him active for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Fantasy owners with Jacobs rejoiced at the news. Then he took to Instagram to say he will not be playing and doesn’t care at all about your fantasy team.
Josh Jacobs appears to be out again
So he is active, but claims he will not play. Could he be trolling? That would be insane of him to do, however, it is still possible. Fantasy owners may just want to play it safe and bench him regardless.
Jacobs taking a shot at fantasy football mirrors what plenty of NFL players have to say about the game. If you didn’t see it, zoom in on Jacobs’ second post about fantasy owners. There is a message in small text that includes a middle finger in the direction of fantasy football teams.
The running back has put up nice collective stats this season. He has 782 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. But those with him in fantasy will also note three of his touchdowns came back in Week 1 and he has only rushed for over 100 yards on two occasions this season.
Jacobs is going to be in uniform and fans will not know his true status until kickoff. Is he only an emergency option? Fantasy owners may just want to play it safe and bench him now that fantasy playoffs are underway in certain leagues. A running back trolling fantasy owners one hour before kickoff makes perfect sense in 2020.
